Why I Created Aura Clarity
I’m a biomedical scientist who has lived with chronic migraine for over 20 years.
Eight years ago, my migraine became chronic—drastically impacting my daily life. I sought help from numerous specialists, but nothing provided significant relief.
When I discovered FL-41 glasses, they changed my life. But there was one problem: they all looked medical.
I felt self-conscious wearing clinical-looking frames to work and social events. I thought: “Why can’t migraine relief be stylish?”
That question became Aura Clarity.
Combining my scientific background with lived experience, I created FL-41 glasses you’d actually choose to wear—not glasses you have to wear.
Today, we’ve helped over 500 UK migraine sufferers find stylish, affordable relief. And in 2025, Theo Paphitis recognized our mission with his prestigious Small Business Sunday award.
If you’re tired of choosing between relief and style, I created Aura Clarity for you. 💜
Migraine Insights
Migraine is a complex neurological disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. It is characterised by recurring, moderate to severe headaches that are often accompanied by other symptoms. While migraines are commonly known for causing intense head pain, they can have a significant impact on various aspects of life.
Migraines can disrupt daily routines, social activities, work productivity, and overall quality of life. The frequency and duration of migraine attacks vary from person to person. Some individuals may experience migraine sporadically, while others may suffer from chronic migraines that occur more than 15 days per month for at least three months.
Light Sensitivity Glasses
Light sensitivity, also known as photophobia, is a condition characterized by an abnormal sensitivity to light. Individuals with photophobia experience discomfort or pain when exposed to light, even at normal levels. It can be a symptom of various underlying conditions and can significantly impact a person’s daily life.
Photophobia often occurs as a symptom of migraine, where it is estimated that up to 80% of migraine sufferers experience sensitivity to light during an attack. The exact mechanisms underlying photophobia in migraine are not fully understood, but it is believed to be related to abnormal processing of visual stimuli in the brain.
